Golden Globes Has Lots Of Avengers Talks.....By Robert Downey Jr.,Chris Hemsworth.......Plus POSSIBLE Avengers Universe News.....

When attempting to assemble some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, an allied altercation between them should come as no surprise. And while Marvel's crossover spectacle The Avengers is no exception, the actor behind the Mighty Avenger Thor, Chris Hemsworth essentially confirms this altercation.:


And later the same star talks about how Avengers is mind blowing:
Chris Hemsworth answered some more questions concerning THOR and The Avengers on the red carpet at The Golden Globes last night. He goes on the talk about Natalie Portman, his new found stardom and the floods in his native Australia.

I have transcribed the portions of the interview pertinent to THOR and The Avengers that we have not previously heard.

On THOR...

It's incredible. It's based on the comic book and it's a beautiful meld of Viking and Norse mythology and science fiction and he becomes Earth bound. It's got everything, love, action, a bit of comedy.

On The Avengers...

The whole thing with Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America and THOR. I just read the script, an early draft and it's mind blowing. I have no idea how they're going to shoot it. It's huge and incredible.

“I think we’re going to do something extraordinary,” the actor told Billy when asked about “The Avengers.”

Robert explained that he’s met with his co-stars, Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Chris Evans (Captain America) — who both presented together on Sunday night — and they plan on making a stellar movie that the fans have been longing to see.

“If we work really hard, I think we’ll have something worth it,” he continued.

RDJ also said that his hair was so long because they had just wrapped Sherlock Holmes 2 in London but that he will be getting a haircut before stepping back into Tony Stark's shoes again. Told you it wasn't much! Nice to know they boys are getting together and talking about the movie anyway.

Now I understand that this is a pretty sensitive subject when it comes to comic book fans and comic book movie fans in general but I think I have discovered something that has been overlooked by every fan of the Spider-Man franchise, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and comic book films in general: that it's possible that the upcoming Spider-Man reboot may be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and , also, that it was overlooked by everyone.

Now before I continue, let me explain how I came to this outrageous conclusion. I was surfing Marvel.com looking at pictures from the upcoming films, particularly, the Spider-Man Reboot.

Now as a regular person and not a fan, I pay attention to detail with a sharpness almost unlike anyone else, so when I clicked on the article on Marvel's site here announcing the release of first picture of the costume from the Spider-Man reboot, I noticed something. Now look at the banner in question below.





Did you notice it? What I am talking about is the Marvel Studios logo that rests in the corner of that banner.

Now to make sure what I began thinking wasn't ape sh*t crazy, I began researching the other non MCU films on the site to see of any others had this logo. But, to no avail, I couldn't find any other non MCU films bearing the logo which is reserved only for those films that are a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I began to wonder if that what I was in fact thinking was true, how in Odin's beard did anyone, especially the fans on comicbookmovie.com, miss something this monumental?

This brings me back here. Personally, I am bamboozled (yes bamboozled) about this. I truly don't know what to think of this. How something this extraordinary and massively awesome could have been overlooked is beyond me.

If you read the articles, particularly the ones from almost exactly a year ago announcing the reboot you'll see that some of them do say that Sony and Marvel Studios were rebooting the franchise. At the time I and I'm sure others overlooked this because we were in shock and awe of the announcement of a reboot after close to a year of development on, the now dead, Spider-Man 4.

But, the simple fact that something such as this, in which its implications will change not only the future of Marvel Comics' films but comic book movies in general, has possibly been overlooked do immensely that people are actually complaining that the Spider-Man film series should be in Marvel's hands just simply shocks, stuns and baffles me beyond belief.

Now this could all be wishful thinking on a fan that took a small bit of information and blew it out of proportion, however, it also could be the exact opposite and be the biggest news story in comic book films of the last decade and that it's been overlooked immensely.

Anyways, take a look back at the banner and tell me how do you feel knowing something such as this may have been overlooked and, if it is indeed what I think, How do you feel of about the prospect of seeing Spider-Man take his rightful place alongside the other heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.



Update 1:

For those who don't know, Marvel Entertainment and Marvel Studios are separate entities. Marvel Enterntainment, along side a studio such as Sony, produces all NON MCU films, while Marvel Studios, by itself produces all MCU films. Also, neither Marvel Entertainment or Marvel Studios distribute any of their respective films; A outside studio such as Universal, Sony, Paramount, etc. distributes in BOTH cases. Please, refrain from negative commenting if you do not completely know the information regarding who does what.

Update 2:

the Marvel Studios is reserved for films produced under Marvel Studios. All films produced under Marvel Studios are created for inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Also, unlike Marvel Knights, Marvel Studios is an Actual studio.

Update 3:

Back when Marvel announced the reboot of Spider-Man as well as Marc Webb being hired as its director, they posted this article which featured the following banner which also includes the MCU exclusive Marvel Studios logo. The article also says that Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios jointly announced the reboot.

Update 5:

After some more research, I found out that Sony was in a situation DC and Warner Bros. were in with the Superman franchise and the hulk franchise in that they all had to have a new film In Production by a certain date.

In Sony's case it was May of 2011. It is well known that sony did not make this date. So it is likely the rights reverted back to Marvel, particularly, Marvel Studios.

In the case of Hulk, the rights reverted back to marvel in 2006 while the origin rights of Superman reverted back to the creators.


Update 6:

It has been brought to my attention that Marvel.com's banners for X-Men First Class (see below) also bear the Marvel Studios logo. I'm cannot be sure of this "debunks" the information in my article as all other credible sources still lists 20th Century Fox as the primary producer and sole distibutor, with co-production by Marvel Entertainment.



Update 7:

Thanks to user spiderman620 and research into the matter, I now know Marvel Does indeed own the film the right to the Hulk. However, this does not discredit my previous statements. It is still possible that the Spider-Man reboot is in Marvel Studios hands. I stated in my 5th update, its very possible that the rights of Spider-Man have reverted back to Marvel, particularly, Marvel Studios in one way or another.

"From further research on the logo, it is being used on all marvel films to come out, replacing the standard one. This includes joint ventures like spider-man, x-men, and ghost rider.

Also the clauses on the contracts seem to have gotten substantially greater with the delays and reeboots. This allows greater opportunity for Marvel to gain there rights back. Even during mid production for some of the Projects.

As of right now nothing has transitioned back into there rites. That is from some info a Buddy was able to get for me on the contracts and what I was able to analyze From the details. The logo on the product means nothing but marvels efforts to promote the brand more. They were always co-producers, now they have a production company."
